Since Matt’s last visit to this part of the world, Matt has been back in the studio recording the follow up to his beautiful, folky, full length debut “Songs We Sing”. Where “Songs…” displayed his gentle artistry and skilful acoustic guitar playing, the new album “Unfamiliar Faces” OUT NOW, finds Matt Costa wrapping his appealing melodies in increasingly ambitious packages that recall the Shins & Spoon.

Leading with the spunky piano-driven opener “Mr Pitiful” and the country-tinged acoustic “Never Looking Back” to the jangly power-pop of “Emergency Call”, “Unfamiliar Faces” traverses many musical styles resulting in an effortlessly intoxicating musical experience.
