All week we’re raising money to keep Edge Radio on air. If you value independent media, diversity, training opportunities for young people, and providing a platform for local musicians, donate now or look below for all the awesome events, we’re hosting!
If you become a donor to Edge Radio, you will assist with the long-term survival of a vital cultural link for the youth of Hobart. Edge Radio is THE starting ground for emerging and alternative Tassie musicians. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we are often the first opportunity for exposure and connection to the media in something more than a passive way.
We encourage young people to get involved and get creative. Edge Radio provides training and experience, allowing youth to join an organisation and stay connected to their community.
Your donation will go towards our 2023 goals to:
- Support Tassie musicians through more concerts and arts events across Hobart
- Engage Tassie Youth through new training opportunities
- Bring in more volunteers to create great on-air content
Supporting our fundraiser supports Tassie artists you don’t usually hear in mainstream broadcast media. Edge is THE starting point for emerging and alternative Tassie musicians. We provide vital air time, interview ops, events and media training for our local talent.

I Love Tassie Music Concert – Friday 25th November @ 7PM

I Love Tassie Music! A celebration of Tassie music from the home of Tassie music, Edge Radio! As part of our annual fundraiser, we are holding a Tassie Music concert, with all proceeds going towards supporting Edge and the local bands performing during the fundraiser. Edge is THE starting ground for emerging and alternative Tassie musicians. We provide vital air time, interview ops, events and media training. Local music is essential to community radio (it’s what we do best), but we need the community’s financial support to create opportunities for musicians. So come party with us and feast your eyes on four great Tassie bands!
