[22.9.2025] We’ve got a busy few weeks ahead at Edge Radio, and it all kicks off with a bit of friendly competition, a few tricky questions, and one very important mission — keeping community radio loud, proud and a little bit chaotic.

The Edge Radio Quiz Night Is Back!

Thursday 23 October, 7pm at Altar

Our annual quiz night returns for an evening that’s proudly unpredictable, a little chaotic, and 100% Edge Radio. Expect questions that will surprise you, stump you, and occasionally make you wonder why you memorised what DNA stands for. (It’s Deoxyribonucleic Acid, by the way.)

Round up your clever mates, your mates who thrive under pressure, or at least look good holding a pen, and join us for a night of community, trivia, and laughs — all in support of the station you love.

Book your table – it’s free! – at Altar.

Then the Main Event Begins…

Fundraiser Season: Friday 7 – Saturday 15 November

Our annual fundraiser officially kicks off the following week, with a full schedule of special programming, on-air antics, and a 24 hour Radiothon (14–15 November) where we’ll be calling on your support to help keep Edge Radio thriving.

And it all wraps up with one massive birthday bash:

Edge Radio Fundraiser Concert

Saturday 15 November at Altar

Four incredible Tassie acts. One unforgettable night.

Join us as we celebrate 22 years of Edge Radio with an explosive lineup featuring Teens, Q.E., Spooky Eyes, and Baltimöre Charlót & The Experience.

It’s set to be a night of high energy, acid rock power, pop magic and pure brilliance — the perfect way to celebrate another year of community radio made right here in nipaluna/Hobart.

Grab your tickets now via Altar and make a night of it with the Edge crew.

About Edge Radio

Edge Radio is an independent, non-profit community youth radio station broadcasting from nipaluna/Hobart. We’re a platform for Tasmanian voices, artists, and ideas — championing local music, creative expression, and diversity on the airwaves.

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to help us continue doing what we do best: supporting local artists, training emerging broadcasters, and keeping a radio less ordinary on air.

Stay tuned — more details about our fundraiser, special programs, and how you can support us are coming soon.
