Naarm-based post-punk noise trio Snailgun specialise in aggressive and clangy guitars paired with catchy hooks and hypnotic rhythms. Their debut album Glass Walls meanders between short and blistering noise tracks and long guitar-driven odyssey jams.
Snailgun is Adam Osth on guitar and vocals, Daniel Little (Red Music, Vincent Price) on bass and vocals, and Sam Maher (Great Falls, Cold Open) on drums. Glass Walls sees the band pushing their post-punk sound with extended rhythmic sections reminiscent of krautrock jams and late 70’s post punk, alongside lyrics that combine an oblique commentary with wry humour. The album adds a new dimension to their sound, honed to a fine point with their frenetic live show.
Glass Walls was recorded and engineered by Jason Fuller at Goatsound Studios in Preston and Max Ducker at Cellar Sessions in Coburg, and mastered by Al Smith at Bergerk Studios.
