Baltimöre Charlót makes music that mirrors the human experience — messy, emotional and ever-changing. The lutruwita/Tasmania-based artist, producer and performer brings together pop, art and raw emotion in a way that’s completely her own. The project is the creation of Sarah Charlotte, a self-taught producer who’s been shaping sound since her teenage years — first solo, and now with her newly formed live band, The Experience, featuring Asher Middleton on keys and Ali-Mahjouri Healey on drums.
Breaking Rules and Finding Power

For Sarah, Baltimöre Charlót has always been about expression without limits. “The project was born out of suppressed teenage angst,” she says. “I started learning about music production when I was 14 and got the hang of Ableton when I turned 18.”
Her songs explore identity and emotion through a deeply personal lens. “A lot of my music looks at what it means to be human — messy, complicated and real,” she explains. Drawing from her experiences as an openly bisexual woman of Latina and Filipino heritage, she uses sound as a way to talk about freedom, frustration and the joy of breaking norms.
From Bedroom Beats to Live Energy

Baltimöre Charlót first made her mark performing solo, crafting intricate sets that were equal parts pop and performance art. But she soon realised she wanted to expand the experience. “Even though those early solo gigs were great, I needed something bigger — I needed a band,” she says. “That’s when I brought in Asher and Ali. They help me turn all that chaos into something alive on stage.”
The result is a show that feels unpredictable in the best way — rich with movement, humour and human connection.
Sound, Spirit and Sesame Street

When asked to describe her sound, Sarah laughs. “A mix of every human emotion possible,” she says. “Definitely a lot of anger though.” She finds inspiration in everything from her mum (“My mummy! Also all my wonderful friends!!!”) to unlikely pop culture moments. Her pick for a theme song? “The Sesame Street episode where Elmo yells at Zoe about rocks — for no necessary reason.”
Her influences are just as delightfully unexpected. “My mummy! Also all my wonderful friends!!!” she says — before adding that if she could open for anyone, it’d be Katya Zamo or Bob The Drag Queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race. “They’re both my heroes.”
What’s Next
What’s next for Baltimöre Charlót? “Bed,” she jokes. “More video editing. Food. More photo editing. Bed. More music making. More bed.”
Even with her tongue firmly in cheek, it’s clear that Sarah’s creative drive never really rests. Her world is one of constant creation — and it’s only getting louder, brighter, and more fearless.
